Learner's Dictionary

The Learner's Dictionary has 3 main components:

Kanji Dictionary
Words Dictionary
Sentences Dictionary
  • To navigate between them simply click on each part you want to explore.
  • For example, having the word 資格 in the Word Dictionary, you can click on the individual kanji and it will take you directly to the Kanji Dictionary page.
  • Clicking on any of the Tatoeba Sentence example will take you to the Sentence Dictionary.
  • Clicking on any part of the parsed words / kanji on the Sentence Dictionary will take you to the respective Kanji or Word Dictionary.

Search Results

Type your search term in the search bar, and select from the dropdown list to view detailed information on words, kanji, or phrases related to your query.

To listen to the pronunciation, view different meanings, and explore example sentences for your vocabulary, simply scroll through the various sections of its dictionary entry.

If you click on the kanji, you will see more detailed information. Explore the components and structure of the kanji by viewing its glyph graph, which breaks down each part of the kanji, and listen to its readings to learn pronunciation.

Text to Speech

Enhance your pronunciation and listening skills with Kanjiverse's text-to-speech (TTS) feature. Audio is available for all sentences, words, and kanji readings. Simply press the speaker icon next to any text to hear it.
